Surveillance Testing
Surveillance testing of asymptomatic people can be an important tool to identify any undetected community transmission and to ensure other control mitigations are working effectively.
Negative results, from any type of SARS-CoV-2 testing, do not preclude SARS-CoV-2 infection and therefore should not be used as the sole basis for health and risk management decisions. If an individual is showing cold or flu-like symptoms, then testing should be performed by a GP or a Community testing centre.
